Historically important and not far from the Sallrain-Hof, is the "Commenda Longomoso", established in 1200 as a wayfarer's lodging. Once upon a time Longomoso was a pass between the Isarco Valley and Bolzano. Worth noting is that one of the Renon´s tourism pioneer's, Felix Mair, was born here in 1822.
